How it works in real life

When you treat a rusty area, you’re starting with the first step toward a longer-lasting finish. The coated surface dries to a smooth, dark layer in about 20 minutes, making it possible to apply a second coat for complete transformation. After the treatment, allow 48 hours of cure time before applying your final paint coat for lasting protection. A two-coat oil-based paint system is recommended for iron-based surfaces.

How to use

  • Surface preparation: remove loose rust and scale with a wire brush or sandpaper. Clean away dirt, dust and grease before application.
  • Application: shake or stir well; apply with brush, roller or pump sprayer. Ready-to-use — no thinning required.
  • Drying and finishing: dry time is about 20 minutes; follow with a second coat if needed. Do not apply below 50°F.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
