Use the tool to clamp the free end of a 3/8" or 1/4" strap around the boot, thread the strap through the clevis head and reel mandrel slot, place the 1/2" ratchet on the reel, then bend, clip, tension, cut, and fold. Double wrap when needed for added strength and tap the clip ears to secure.
