3M Adhesion Promoter 4298 – 5 Sponge Applicators (Choose 5 or 25 Qty)

Boost Bonding on Low Surface Energy Plastics

3M Adhesion Promoter 4298 is a ready-to-use liquid primer designed for a wide range of plastics commonly found in automotive interiors and other assemblies. Packaged as convenient sponge applicators, each packet holds 2.5 cc of promoter for controlled prep and consistent coverage.

What it does

• Enhances bond strength for tapes on low surface energy substrates
• Effective on plastics such as TPO, PPO, PP, PC and PC+ABS
• UV-detectable to help verify coverage during prep
• Available in multiple sizes: five 2.5 cc sponge packets, a larger marker, and a 4 oz bottle

Why choose 4298

• Five sponge packets (each 2.5 cc) provide targeted prep for multiple parts
• Controlled application with simple sponge applicators
• Marker and 4 oz bottle extend coverage for larger projects
• Ingredients align with 3M 6396 adhesion promoter for compatibility

How to use

Apply the promoter with the included sponge applicators to the bonding surfaces. Allow a brief dry time before applying tape or adhesive. For larger areas, switch to the marker or bottle to maintain even prep across parts.
