AiYiGu 4115 Front Hood Struts for BMW E46 (1998-2006) – Lift Supports, Pair

AiYiGu 4115 Front Hood Struts for BMW E46 (1998–2006) – Pair

Restore a smooth, controlled hood lift with the AiYiGu 4115 front hood struts. Engineered to replace aging gas springs on compatible BMW 3 Series E46 models, these struts combine reliable pressure with balanced two‑side support. Their purpose is to deliver a dependable feel when you open or prop the hood, helping you keep the engine bay accessible without sudden drops or drooping lines.

These struts are a practical upgrade for drivers who value consistent hood operation in daily use, weekend maintenance, or longer drives. The two-piece pair works on the left and right sides, providing symmetrical support across the hood for a more even, steady lift and hold. While not a guarantee of performance, many users notice a more predictable, confident lift after installation, especially if the prior parts showed signs of wear or uneven tension.

Compatibility and Replacement

• The AiYiGu 4115 kit is designed to fit a range of BMW 3 Series E46 generations, including popular variants from 1998 through 2006. It serves as a replacement for the OEM style 4115 and related part numbers, helping you restore the hood’s original opening feel.
• OEM references that this kit aligns with include 4115 and several equivalent codes, making it a straightforward upgrade when you need a compatible, non‑screws replacement.

Specifications and Fit

• Compression length: 8.34 inches; extended length: 12.44 inches. This sizing is tuned to provide balanced extension and a controlled hold for typical daily use.
• Package content: a pair of front hood struts (left and right), ready for installation without screws or fasteners.

Installation and Real‑World Use

• Installation is designed to be simple: you remove the old struts and attach the new lift arms to the existing brackets using a flathead screwdriver. No additional hardware is required.
• Before starting, prop the hood with a rod or have a helper on hand to prevent injury while you work. The two‑piece design aims to provide balanced support across the hood for a stable open position.

With the AiYiGu 4115 set, you may experience a more predictable hood action that supports routine checks, oil changes, and other under‑hood tasks. While performance can vary by vehicle condition and mounting points, this replacement is intended to offer a practical, cost‑effective way to refresh the hood mechanism without modifying other components.

Overall, this kit targets drivers who want a straightforward upgrade that aligns with original style and fit, with emphasis on real‑world usability and ease of installation. It’s a measured, non‑aggressive option for maintaining smooth hood operation on select BMW E46 cars.
