Bell Custom 500 Helmet – Matte Black (Medium) | Classic Throwback, DOT & ECE Certified

The Bell Custom 500 Helmet takes inspiration from Bell’s very first production model in 1954 and refreshes it with an oval profile and a low-profile fit. The result is a smaller look that still carries the iconic throwback style you love, now dressed in a sleek matte black finish for versatile street presence.

Timeless design with modern tuning

Agoes beyond a mere retro look by pairing it with a streamlined silhouette. The oval shape sits closer to the head, delivering a balanced profile that can complement a wide range of jackets and styles. The matte black coating reduces glare and maintains a clean, understated aesthetic whether you ride downtown or cruise along scenic backroads.

Comfort, hygiene, and interior comfort you notice

• IONIC+ padding provides a quick-drying interior that helps manage sweat and fights odor-causing bacteria, so you stay fresher ride after ride.
• The interior padding is designed for comfortable wear over longer sessions, helping you feel more at ease on weekend trips or daily commutes.

Durability, materials, and safety standards

• Fiberglass composite shell delivers a durable, lightweight construction with a classic feel that many riders appreciate.
• Meets FMVSS 218, DOT, and ECE22.06 standards, offering broad, established certifications for varied riding environments.

Real-world use cases and what to expect

Perfect for city streets, commuting, and weekend rides, the Custom 500 blends retro charm with practical performance. Expect a comfortable, breathable fit that pairs well with casual or riding gear, plus a lid that maintains its presence on the road without appearing flashy.

Tips for care and longevity: keep the padding clean with mild products and store away from heat to preserve the interior’s feel and color over time.
