Bell Custom 500 Helmet – Matte Black, Small | Fiberglass Shell, Safety Standards

Iconic retro look meets modern helmet engineering

Inspired by Bell’s very first production helmet from 1954, the Custom 500 is reimagined with an oval profile and a low-profile fit. The result is a compact silhouette that preserves the throwback charm while staying comfortably suited to modern riding—whether you’re navigating city streets or hitting open highways.

Design, fit, and comfort

The matte finish emphasizes a timeless aesthetic, and the helmet sits closer to the head for a streamlined appearance. The interior features quick-drying padding designed to manage moisture and reduce odor-causing bacteria, creating a soft, skin-friendly feel that remains comfortable over long sessions. The overall shape and padding are tuned for a snug, secure fit that adapts to a variety of head shapes.

• IONIC+ PADDING — Quick-drying interior padding helps manage sweat and reduce odor-causing bacteria.
• FIBERGLASS COMPOSITE SHELL — Offers a balance of strength and lightness for daily use.
• SAFETY STANDARDS — Meets FMVSS 218; also certified to DOT and ECE22.06 standards.

Materials, durability, and protection

Constructed with a fiberglass composite shell, the Custom 500 emphasizes durability without unnecessary weight. This combination supports confident riding across urban corridors and longer weekend trips, delivering a reassuring feel when you lean into corners or glide along straightaways.

• Urban-ready build: retro aesthetics that pair well with many bike styles.
• All-day wearability: breathable padding and a snug, secure fit for longer sessions.

Practical use and care

Ideal for daily commuting, weekend rides, and casual cruises. To keep performance high, rinse with mild soap, air-dry away from direct heat, and refresh the interior padding as needed.
