Chemical Guys Hex-Logic Yellow Heavy-Cutting Pad – 6.5-inch for 6-inch Backing Plates | BUFX_101HEX6

Overview

The Chemical Guys Hex-Logic Yellow Heavy-Cutting Pad is crafted for older, oxidized finishes that show heavy swirls and deep scratches. This aggressive pad pairs with a suitable polishing compound to begin the refinement process, while protecting the underlying clear coat. Sized at 6.5 inches to suit a 6 inch backing plate, it offers broad surface coverage with a self-centered design for easier maneuvering on diverse panels.

What makes Hex-Logic Yellow stand out

• Professional-grade pad with Hex-Logic laser-cut surface for even product distribution.
• PUR+ backing plate technology provides durability and a secure grip that withstands repeated washings.
• Self-centered 6.5 inch diameter adapts to both large panels and tighter spots.
• Hexagon grooves hold product in place and promote uniform transfer across curves and contours.
• Designed to reduce unnecessary heat buildup, helping to protect paint during aggressive cutting.

For the best finish, follow this pad with an orange pad for mid-level impact and then a white pad for refinement. The goal is a smoother base before final polishing rather than a single step promise.

Usage and care

• Use with a compatible cutting compound to address heavy defects on aged finishes.
• After use, switch to an orange pad for additional cutting, then a white pad for finishing.
• Rinse and wash the PUR+ backing plate to preserve grip and reusability.
• Store properly to maintain pad shape and performance across detailing sessions.
