COLOFULWAY Fuel Door Hinge Pin with Gas Door Spring — Permanent Metal Repair for 2009-2014 Ford F-150 & Lincoln Mark LT

Overview

COLOFULWAY introduces a metal repair solution for a stubborn wear point: the fuel door hinge. The kit centers on a redesigned aluminum hinge and a coated gas door spring, crafted to deliver a durable upgrade without replacing the entire housing. Expect a solid, purposeful feel when you close the door, backed by a focus on long-term reliability rather than quick fixes.

In this update-friendly package, you’ll find a renewed hinge design highlighted by a coated spring option. The combination is meant to reduce looseness and improve closure consistency, providing a potential upgrade path for drivers who experience frequent fuel door misalignment or reluctant latching.

What’s included and compatibility

• Redesigned aluminum hinge (4th edition) that is reusable and requires no separate lubrication or adhesives.
• Newly coated gas door spring for improved tension and longer life (per 2022 packaging notes).
• Washer and an R-type cotter pin; housing/pocket is not included.
• Pin diameter about 0.43 inches; fits F-150 2009-2014 fuel door, Fusion 2010-2012 gas door, Lincoln Mark LT 2010-2014 fuel door, MKZ 2010-2012, Milan 2010-2011 gas cap.

Key benefits and real-world use

• Permanent-feel upgrade: a durable metal hinge may reduce recurring hinge-related closures without a full door replacement.
• Cost-conscious option: a targeted fix can be easier on your budget compared with swapping the entire door assembly.
• Easy DIY install: the reusable hinge, combined with a simple spring and small hardware, supports straightforward installation for enthusiasts and pros alike.
• Versatile compatibility: designed to suit several popular models from 2009–2014 across Ford and Lincoln lineups.

Usage notes and considerations

The kit does not include the housing/pocket, so it is important to verify your vehicle configuration before installation. While the metal hinge provides a robust alternative to a worn plastic hinge, outcomes can vary by vehicle condition and user skill. This upgrade focuses on a tangible improvement in closure feel and reliability, rather than a guaranteed cure.
