MAXXHAUL 70086: 7-Way to 4-Way Trailer Plug Adaptor, 18in–36in Cord, Weatherproof

Overview

The MAXXHAUL 70086 adaptor offers a practical solution for towing different trailers without juggling multiple plugs. It converts a 7-way RV blade into a standard 4-wire flat connector, using an 18-inch flexible cord that can uncoil up to 36 inches. The compact design stays close to your hitch, while the enclosed inner brass connectors provide reliable conductivity for everyday road use. Weatherproof molded housing and rugged plastics protect the assembly from the elements, helping it endure long hauls and variable weather.

Highlights

• Eliminates the need for multiple plugs and adapters when towing different trailers
• 7-Way to 4-Way adaptor replaces several separate plugs with a single solution
• Brass connectors ensure solid electrical conductivity for reliable power delivery
• Weatherproof molded construction with an 18-inch flexible cord that uncoils to 36 inches

Real‑world Use Scenarios

In daily use, you may connect to small campers, utility trailers, or toy haulers that rely on a 7-way system but require a flat 4-wire plug. The 18-inch cord provides enough slack to reach the vehicle socket without strain, while the total reach of up to 36 inches offers flexibility in tight spaces and crowded storage areas.

On longer trips, the durable housing helps protect exposed connectors from weather, dirt, and road grime. The adaptor’s compact footprint keeps it from sticking out excessively, making it easier to stow in a toolbox, trunk, or cargo bay.

Construction & Durability

The adaptor combines weatherproof molded plastic with robust internal conductors. Its compact dimensions—3.75" x 2.75" x 1.75" for the 7-way portion and 4" x 1.25" x 1.25" for the 4-way, when connected—keep a low profile while delivering a solid connection in challenging driving conditions.

• Weatherproof housing resists moisture and debris
• Internal brass connectors support reliable conductivity
• Designed for long-term endurance on the road

What to Expect

This single adaptor streamlines your towing setup by consolidating 7-way and 4-way connections into one weather-ready module. It offers flexibility for towing different trailers with a straightforward hookup, helping you stay focused on the road ahead rather than wiring hassles.
