MFP 515554 Magnetic Inline Filter (3/8\") — Transmission Inline Filter

Introducing the MFP 515554 Magnetic Inline Filter for 3-8 inch lines, a compact inline device designed to live in the transmission path. It uses a magnetic element to attract ferrous particles that can occur during normal operation, helping to keep the fluid path clearer and flowing more smoothly.

Designed to cover a broad range of transmission configurations associated with the 515554 naming and its historical lineage (1951 through 2017), this inline filter is positioned as a practical accessory for enthusiasts and professionals who value proactive filtration. While compatible in many installations, always verify fitment with your specific model before proceeding with a retrofit.

Key benefits at a glance

• Captures metallic wear particles that can abrade internal surfaces and reduce abrasive debris in the line.
• Inline 3-8 inch design fits standard transmission lines without major modification.
• Compact form maintains a minimal flow restriction while adding an extra layer of protection.

In real-world use, the magnet draws out tiny metal fragments that can originate from normal wear or friction points in the transmission path. By reducing the concentration of such particles in the immediate flow, the inline filter can contribute to a tidier debris profile downstream and potentially support smoother operation over time. The feature aligns with a simple maintenance philosophy: add a protective element where the fluid travels, without complicating the service procedure.

Common scenarios you might consider this inline filter for

• Classic or era-spanning transmissions where an inline filtration option complements existing protections.
• Vehicles with higher mileage where owners are mindful of debris management as part of routine upkeep.

While the outcome will vary depending on vehicle type, driving style, and maintenance history, this inline filter offers a practical option to consider as part of your transmission care strategy. It presents a tangible accessory that can be integrated into standard servicing without asserting guaranteed results.
