Description
xOverview
The RED WOLF SB175 brings a robust, modular approach to power connections for outdoor and mobile electrical systems. Engineered for 12V–36V setups and compatible with 2–4 AWG wiring, this 175A quick connector offers a practical alternative to welded or crimped interfaces. Expect smoother retrofit maintenance, quicker serviceability, and fewer delays when you need to reconfigure a power run in the field.
Built to endure real-world use, the unibody flame-retardant PC housing protects internal components while copper terminals with silver plating deliver steady current flow. An inner Mn-steel locking spring resists rust and maintains contact quality over time, even in harsher conditions or after repeated connections.
Key Design Features and Safety
The polarized locking plug uses an asymmetrical snap design with polarity marks, helping ensure the connector only mates in the correct orientation. This thoughtful detail reduces the risk of miswiring and potential equipment damage in busy installations.
A dust-proof rubber cover shields the port when not in use, guarding against dust and moisture intrusion and helping keep connections ready for action in outdoor environments.
Fast, Tool-Free Installation
The screwless quick-connect system supports effortless, tool-free setup. Simply insert the wire into the copper terminal, crimp securely, and insert the cables into the power connector box until they click into place—no screwdrivers required.
Where It Shines
- Wide operating conditions: designed to function across a broad temperature range and outdoor scenarios.
- High current capability: rated at 175A to support substantial power needs without frequent rework.
Applied across a spectrum of outdoor and vehicle-oriented systems, the SB175 is suitable for distribution boxes, cars, RVs, winches, forklifts, motors, yachts, caravans, and ship power installations. While it does not guarantee universal compatibility for every setup, it offers a practical, repeatable method to establish reliable power connections in many real-world contexts.
