Rustins Heat Resistant Black Paint 250ml – Quick-Drying, High-Temp Protective Coating

Overview

Rustins Heat Resistant Black Paint 250ml is a high-quality, water-borne coating built around a cross-linking acrylic resin. It delivers a durable, matte black finish with low VOC emissions, making it suitable for both exterior and interior surfaces. The formula cleans up with water, so brushes can be washed quickly after use. Note: NOT FOR USE ON WOOD BURNING STOVES.

Key benefits

• Quick-Drying Formula: dries rapidly to minimize downtime and help you complete projects in fewer sessions.
• Exceptional Heat Resistance: maintains color and protection on surfaces exposed to high temperatures, up to 220°C.
• Versatile Application: suitable for grills, metal and wood on exterior and interior surfaces; exclusions apply to wood-burning stoves, barbeques, furnaces and chimneys.
• Professional-Grade Finish: matte black finish delivers a clean, sleek appearance while helping protect underlying material.
• Low VOC & Easy Cleanup: water-based chemistry and brush cleaning with water keeps things simple and reduces odor during painting.

Real-life use cases

Imagine coating a metal grill frame, an exhaust pipe, or metal cladding around a heat source. The finish remains consistent across indoor and outdoor environments, offering a uniform look while helping resist heat exposure. It also suits metal components near stoves or heaters where you want a durable, clean appearance without specialist equipment.

How to apply

• Surface prep: ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of loose dust or grease prior to painting.
• Application: shake or mix as recommended, apply thin, even coats, and avoid heavy layers that may sag or peel.
• Drying and recoating: allow adequate drying time between coats; two thin coats are often better than one heavy coat.
• Cleanup: brushes, rollers, and tools wash out with water; ventilate the area during and after painting.

Whether you’re refreshing metal fittings, frames, or exterior trim near heat sources, this Rustins paint offers a practical, protective option without sacrificing finish quality. Use as part of a careful maintenance routine to keep high-temperature surfaces looking their best.
