TCP Global 7-Inch Hook & Loop Backing Plate for Rotary Polishers – 5/8"-11 Threads

Elevate your detailing workflow with the TCP Global 7-inch hook & loop backing plate, crafted for universal compatibility with standard rotary polishers. The 5/8" - 11 spindle thread is widely supported, and a maximum operating speed of up to 3,000 rpm helps you work efficiently across a range of finishes. Built to endure regular polishing sessions, this backing plate aims to provide smooth, controlled performance on curved surfaces and flat panels alike.

What makes it a versatile choice

• Premium 7-inch flexible edge enables safe navigation of curves and contours at varying speeds.
• Secure hook & loop grip supports quick pad changes with minimal effort and no-slip performance.
• Durable foam construction with a strong center core promotes balance and evenly distributed pressure.
• Compatibility with any hook & loop buffing pads designed for 7-inch backing plates broadens kit options.
• Includes a pad centering tool for precise alignment, helping you set up quickly and consistently.

Performance in real-world detailing

Whether refining clear coats or smoothing fine texture, the reinforced center core helps maintain smooth rotation while the flexible edge adapts to contours. Users can expect steadier operation, reduced pad flutter, and steadier control during longer polishing sessions. The 3,000 rpm ceiling supports faster material refinement without sacrificing finish quality when paired with compatible pads.

Ease of use and setup

Designed to be a straightforward upgrade, this backing plate pairs with most 7-inch hook & loop pads and standard rotary polishers. The secure grip minimizes pad slips during changes, while the included centering tool simplifies alignment for consistent results across multiple panels.

Note: This plate is intended for use with 7-inch pads that use hook-and-loop mounting. It does not modify tool speed settings, but it can contribute to smoother pad changes and balanced polishing across surfaces.
