Thetford TH31708 Aqua-Magic V Blade Seal – High & Low Foot Replacement

Overview

The Thetford TH31708 Aqua-Magic V blade seal is a replacement component designed to help maintain the water seal inside your RV’s toilet bowl. When the blade closes but water doesn’t stay, this seal is a common culprit. Replacing it can restore the bowl’s characteristic flush cycle and keep the water line consistent.

In the Aqua-Magic V system, the blade seal works with both high-foot and low-foot configurations to hold a small water reserve in the bowl. This helps prevent a dry bowl and supports a steady, predictable flush. A fresh blade seal can reduce the risk of water escaping past the blade and maintain a stable seal during use.

Why replace?

Over time, seals wear, reducing water retention and increasing the chance of leaks. If you notice the blade closing fully but water escapes or the bowl fails to hold water, a new blade seal is a practical first step. This replacement is a focused upgrade that fits the Aqua-Magic V design you already own.
