WIX 51762 Oil Filter Replacement for Synthetic & High Mileage Oils | Kohler & Onan Engines

Engine protection you can feel under the hood

Designed for synthetic and high-mileage oils, the WIX 51762 oil filter replacement aims to keep oil clean and oil flow steady under demanding driving. Its synthetic-blended media traps a high percentage of dirt and contaminants, helping the engine run smoother and stay responsive through acceleration and cruising alike.

What makes it stand out

• IDEAL FOR SYNTHETIC AND HIGH-MILEAGE OILS: Handles normal to extreme driving scenarios like towing, stop-and-go, and long highway stints.
• EXCEPTIONAL DIRT TRAPPING: Blended media captures down to 26 microns with high efficiency (up to 99%), supporting cleaner oil and reduced wear exposure.
• EXTENDED SERVICE LIFE: OE-standard performance that can support longer service intervals, up to around 15,000 miles depending on conditions.
• NO DRY STARTS: Silicone anti-drainback valve helps keep oil in the filter during shutdowns, reducing start-up wear.
• COMPATIBILITY NOTE: To ensure proper fit, use the part finder stripe with your vehicle information.

Under the hood design

The silicone anti-drainback valve helps retain oil within the filter when the engine is off, which can contribute to quicker lubrication on startup. The high-capacity media is engineered to handle sustained oil flow under heavy use, while remaining compatible with synthetic and high-mileage oils.

Real-world use cases

Whether you're towing a trailer on a hot summer day, navigating dusty rural roads, or enjoying a long highway cruise, this filter is designed to maintain steady oil pressure and clean oil. The high-capacity design supports reliable oil flow when the engine works hard, and the synthetic-friendly media complements high-mileage lubrication strategies without frequent filter changes.

Designed to work alongside Kohler and Onan engine families, the WIX 51762 replacement is a practical choice for owners who value durability and consistent protection. While results can vary with driving style and maintenance, many drivers report smoother idling, more responsive acceleration, and a calmer engine feel after routine filter changes.

Maintenance rhythm and fit
